What do we do?
A warm welcome to the Nonlinear Virtual Element Method laboratory!
With a pragmatic approach to solving complex engineering problems using computers, our lab focuses on the development of virtual element method for nonlinear problems, include geometric nonlinear problems, material nonlinear problems, contact mechanics problems, etc.
Besides, we will also use VEM to solve complex multi-physics problems at the interface between solid mechanics, electromagnetism and chemical transport. Combining these multi-physics problems with nonlinear problems will make the problem more complex.
We will still carry out related work on the purely mathematical VEM format.
The main programming languages we use are MATLAB and Python
